Franchising and Distribution
A successful brand can expand its business internationally in a number of ways, including franchising and distribution models. It can appoint wholesale distributors to be responsible for regional or national territories, servicing retail accounts within those territories. It can appoint a franchise partner to set up its own sales points, whether stand-alone stores created in the image of the brand’s own stores at home, department store concessions, pop-up shops or others. It can appoint partners combining these features.
Brands also need to decide how they want to appear in the online marketplace and on social media outside of their home market. Will the brand want to retain ownership of this environment or put it in the hands of a local partner?
Stephens has been involved in the negotiation and management of countless such franchising and distribution arrangements across the world over the course of the past thirty years. We have done (and continue to do) this across Europe, the USA, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and Africa.
We can act for brands or distributors/franchisors in such matters. It is by bringing this experience to bear that Stephens has managed to successfully broker lasting arrangements for many of our clients.
